Growing up’ is a beautiful phase of life. For a girl living in suburban Indian cultural setup, being quite different in terms of looks, interests and preferences, it was even more special. Sports being a predominant passion, she could not afford to have long hair due to the lack of time in maintaining it. When her parents took her to the barber to cut her hair short, she developed an innocent and honest friendship with the barber. Over a period, things that she would not even share with her mother; became the topic of intense discussion between her and the barber. It was during one such visit, after a series of sports activities away from home and a family tour to a colder place, things became a little different. What changed? Did the relationship turn sour? Did she no longer have that warm friendly feeling for the barber anymore?
